Hallux Limitus
Hallux Limitus is essentially arthritis of the big toe joint. Hallux is the big toe, and rigidus indicates that the toe is rigid and therefore unable to move. It is a disorder of the joint located at the base of the big toe. It causes pain and stiffness in the joint, and as time goes by, it gets ever more difficult to bend the big toe. Hallux Limitus is simply limited motion of the big toe joint, which ultimately could lead to Hallux Limitus.
